In some cases, the conventional treatments for metals removal are not able to remove the metals present in the wastewater, moreover, they provide aquatic toxicity. In order to provide solutions, in Servyeco we have developed the ADIMET series; products design as a metals precipitants agents of high efficiency.

ADIMET series products are used to performance as multivalent ionic metal precipitators presents in waste water, above all in the industrial sector with a high metals load, metal – mechanic, mining,…

Thanks to these products, a proper precipitation of metals such as copper, nickel, zinc, chromium, cadmium, silver, lead, iron or mercury is achieved by chelating and complexing processes, this cost-effective process provides a low aquatic toxicity over traditional alternatives.

 

Advantages over traditional alternatives

The ADIMET series products have great advantages over traditional alternatives:

 

  • The product can be applied directly to the wastewater or previously diluted.
  • They present a partially stoichiometric reaction with soluble heavy metals in a wide range of pH and temperature, although chelated metals reaction is not stoichiometric is very predictable.
  • With the use of the products of ADIMET series in industrial waste water a reduced volume of sludge is generated, reaching high density and an easily-dewatering floc morphology. The generated sludge has low weight per unit of metal and lower volume, reducing deriving management costs.
  • ADIMET Series products form an insoluble precipitate with multivalent metals, both complexed and chelated. This precipitate can be removed by filtration to management or recovery.
  • The main economic advantage of these products is the high efficiency in removal (in wide range of pH and temperature) since the doses and types of chemicals used are reduced, ensuring proper treatment of wastewater and avoiding possible additional management costs.

The amount of specific product for nickel reduction used is reduced in 50%, with ADIMET Series the concentration of nickel is reduced below the detection limit.

The customer had a problem with the concentration of nickel in its treated water, with the use of ADIMET Series the problem was solved because the concentration of nickel was reduced below the detection limit.
